Sophie Hiscock – The Village Midwife

I’m Sophie, a registered midwife based in Buckinghamshire. I am passionately pro-choice and run an antenatal course franchise with this ethos called ‘The Village Midwife’. I am an independent midwife because I believe that in an ideal world, all families get to know and trust the midwife who enters their birth environment, as it has such a huge impact.

I’m also a mum myself, and so I know first-hand how much of an impact the support that you receive during pregnancy and the postnatal period has. I run a sling library in Bucks because I learned how important babywearing was when I had my son as a solo mum and so I can help clients with slings as well as feeding and postnatal support.

I love supporting families to have an empowered, positive birth experience and offer home birth and hospital birth support within an hour of my home near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire.
