Frances Tervet

Hello, I’m Frances and I am an Independent Midwife. I am passionate about providing care that puts you and your family right at the centre.

I am a wife to my husband, and a mum to three energetic boys. I have been a registered nurse for more than 14 years and have a decade of Midwifery experience. I have worked within a variety of settings over the years including labour and postnatal wards, birth centre MLU and the Special Care Baby Unit. I have spent a number of my years as a midwife working in a community setting, providing antenatal and postnatal care and supporting families to birth at home.

I believe that everyone should feel empowered with evidence-based information to make the decisions that are right for them. It is impossible to plan every little detail of your birth, but I believe that a positive birth experience comes from being supported and feeling heard, listened to and validated as well as being cared for by someone whom you trust and come to know.
