Hello, my name is Emma
I have been a midwife for over 10 years, I graduated at 46 years old and being Midwife is still a passion of mine, as much now as it was then
I have worked within the NHS for 8 years and have been with Private Midwives for just over 2 years
Continuity of care is an absolutely fantastic way to support women and their families. I will always include family members in the care where possible, promoting good mental health and safe clinical practice
Homebirths are my passion, I have supported many women out of guidelines to achieve their dream homebirth but equally supporting women in the hospital setting is an amazing way to work with the NHS midwives to enable you to have a safe and memorable delivery
When you offer continuity of care you are building relationships which lasts longer that the actual care you give, there’s no better feeling than seeing your baby’s grow and checking in on your clients to say Hi from time to time
Care comes in so many different ways and the type of care I give will always depend on what my clients are looking for, wether that be emotional support, practical support, holistic support or a little bit of everything. Making sure you have safe and professional care to ensure you and baby are both very well looked after throughout your journey
Being a midwife means I am very versatile and support each of my clients individually, recognising what they need and want, respecting their boundaries, their cultures, race and religion, listening to them, guiding them and being present throughout their care
I will always be available to hold your hand, give you a hug or have a late night chat to help resolve any concerns or worries you may have
