Clair Medhurst ~ Continuity Midwifery

Clair is an independent home birth midwife offering full continuity of care from pregnancy through birth and the postnatal period. She specialises in home birth and has supported over 60 home births, with experience across more than 600 births spanning obstetric-led units, midwifery-led birth centres and community settings. Her practice holds physiological birth as the foundation of care, alongside respectful partnership, informed choice and deep relational trust.

With a holistic and calm approach, Clair supports clients to navigate pregnancy and birth with autonomy, clarity and confidence. She offers complete midwifery care throughout the whole journey, and can work in shared care alongside the NHS where families wish to combine models of support.

Clair Medhurst ~ Continuity Midwifery provides a fully integrated package of care, including antenatal, labour and birth, and postnatal midwifery care. The aim is to create a grounded, supportive environment where families feel heard, deeply respected and well-held — especially those seeking a gentle, physiological home birth experience.
