I’m Claire Harbottle, Independent Midwife, here to support you on your birthing journey.

My philosophy is simple: women’s bodies are fantastically designed to create, grow and birth new life. My role is to offer one to one, individualised personal care to support you during this time. I offer an intelligent service which wraps around you and your family seamlessly, integrating with other services as required, so that you can have the best start to your new or newest parenting experience.

By providing information and clinical care during relaxed, unhurried and friendly visits, your and your baby’s wellbeing are nurtured, safety is optimised and you are fully able to explore and question your available options at any point. The better prepared and empowered you are, the better the outcomes for both yourself and your baby.  By facilitating your control of your pregnancy, birthing and postnatal options and providing empathetic support for your decision-making, I help you to achieve your best potential at the beginning of your parenting journey.

As an experienced Midwife and the mother of a daughter, I want to offer you the kind of care I would want for her.
